“ Please allow for the filter to recognise partial commands…” Definitely.“ when you start typing any letter on the keyboard, this will make the drop down menu pop up, right?” Correct. There are definitely a number of non-command functions that would be beneficial to access from the keyboard. “ Is this limited to tools, or could we, for instance, assign key commands to a named view?” Excellent question.“ Is the “promote” function envisioned only for a single character, or can we use strings?” Strings.

Simply key in a character, or a series of characters, and choose from a list of matching results using your mouse or keyboard.įor example, typing “c” will present the following list near the cursor: Based on these requests, we have evaluated access to commands as a whole, and we would like to get your feedback on two prospective enhancements.Ĭommand Search is designed to place access to every Fusion command at your cursor. We also see a number of related requests for more contextual and customizable access to commands & tools that you use most. Trace is good for some things (3D deburring at under 45° sloped edges for instance, or back deburring with a lollipop mill if you want to take the time and effort) but really bad at others.Įdit: oh and turn the Lead-in and Lead-out off.One of the highest-rated users requests on the Fusion 360 Idea Station is Keyboard Shortcuts. So, how do you make it use arcs?Use 2D Contour, turn Compensation Type to Off. In the post I said "yes" to "use radius" (thinking that meant arcs).Ĭode generated with about 150 line segments. It just does not offer too many options and seems to always want to work with Truetype fonts which winds up making huge piles of code just for a few letters. I think the CAM, which is HSMWorks, with Fusion is really great so far but am not real impressed with the engraving. I am using Fusion 360 with it and this weekend did some engraving. I now have an older Brother cnc machine and have been figuring all that out. I guess I have become sort-of an engraving snob. Nothing too fancy but still nice looking engraving. I have had a gorton rotary engraver for years and have done some really nice work with it.
